Agile Coaching Retreats

The Art and Science of Agile Coaching

Agile Coaching Retreats provide any current or aspiring Agile coaches the opportunity to engage purposefully with their peers, dive deeply into their practices, enhance their skills, and broaden their perspectives to better serve their client organizations. The word "retreat" was specifically chosen to represent a time away for deep connection, learning, and growth.

Retreats are for anybody who uses coaching within an Agile environment. Attendees range from new ScrumMasters to experienced Agile coaches, product owners, and managers.

Retreat Leader Application

Not just anyone can serve as a local volunteer team leader for an Agile Coaching Retreat. We’re looking for a unique level of experience and passion. Volunteering to lead a retreat requires a large time commitment.

Here are some things we look for in a successful SCR leader:

  • Preference is given to applicants who hold a Scrum Alliance Certified Enterprise Coach (CEC) or Scrum Alliance Certified Team Coach (CTC) certification, or can document their active journey toward an guide level coaching certification.
  • It would be helpful if the candidate have participated as a coach at one or more Scrum Alliance Coaches Clinics.
  • Successful candidates can document their experience supporting their local Agile/Scrum community, other volunteer experience, and a general attitude of “giving back” to our community.
  • Candidates need to have attended at least one previous Scrum Alliance Agile Coaching Retreat.
  • We’re also looking for volunteers who are willing to be open to funding personal travel expenses, if needed.
Please review the Agile Coaching Retreats principles prior to submitting an application.
